Tomato Charu:

Tomato rasam:


It is a simple and tasty recipe …………….just try it once ……….u love the taste.

Ingredients:

Tomato :3
Onion: 1 big no.
Green chili: 3 -5.
Garlic: 1 no.
Carrot: 1 no.
Dania powder: 1 t.spn.
Tamarind (little bit)
Salt as per taste..

Preparation:

Put whole tomatoes /cut it half in boiling water, add 1 chili, tamarind, simmer for 5-10 minutes, keep aside for 5 minutes.

Remove tomatoes from water, peel away the broken skin(if u use banglore tomato). mash well either with hand or with a hand blender ,Mash till fine. keep a side.

Heat 1 tsp. oil in one bowl add cumin seeds, zeera, green chili pieces, onions, carrot, fry it for 2-4 mins,

Add mashed tomato pulp.

Boil it till aromatic comes out, To the thick pulp, add 1 glass water .add curry leaves, daniya powder, masala, salt, little bit jaggery and crushed garlic.


Bring to a boil, check spices and salt and adjust.


Simmer for 5 minutes. Lastly add coriander leaves.


 
Serve hot with steaming hot plain rice, and papads.
